Unwind is a maternity center designed for a rural community in Southern Senegal, where maternal healthcare access is limited, and social stigma often deters women from seeking medical support. The project reimagines a clinical facility as a space of dignity, openness, and care, integrating traditional construction techniques with passive environmental strategies.
Space is organized into three zones: public areas for visitors, patient spaces, and controlled medical zones. Two separate entrances support both clinical and educational functions. The secondary gate guides visitors into the public wing during seminars, while the main entrance leads directly to the lobby.
